The Minot Ryan Lady Lions volleyball team kicked off their fall camp with their first workouts of the season yesterday 36 players are out for this year s team under first year head coach Deanna Reynolds Led by their 7 seniors the Lady Lions are looking to make the most of their experience along with their athleticism Deanna Reynolds Ryan volleyball coach We ve got some powerfull hitters and we ve got some very diverse players We worked with them at a camp this summer and we got some that are very good setters good hitters and passers so it s gonna be kind of hard to figure out the exact roles we want because we have some very athletic girls Katie Backes senior I think we have like a new team this year new beginning We re gonna be a lot more together and play as a team as opposed to past years I think we re definitely gonna have a chance to contend with all the top teams in the region Hannah Lewis senior We got a well rounded team gotta lot of girls coming back and some strong girls so I think we ll be pretty good The Lady Lions open their season a week from Saturday at Hazen
